Where does my child fit in?

Whatever age and stage your child has reached, you can rest assured that all Little Monkeys are stimulated to learn at their own pace in a secure and loving environment.

Babies

Cosy and bright, the baby room is designed to mirror the home environment. Your baby will be cared for by experienced childcare specialists who are happy to take on his or her individual needs and routine.

Weenies

When toddlers are steady on their feet their needs change and they begin to see the world from a whole new perspective.The weenies room is full of stimuli at floor and table level. Dedicated nursery nurses work with art and craft teachers to create fun things your child can learn from. Rest assured that no-one is moved into the weenies room until parents are happy that the 'time is right'.

Tweenies

At this stage children are growing in confidence. Tweenies are encouraged to learn how to share, co-operate and play, both individually and in groups.This is a very rewarding stage and it is a pleasure to help each child build and explore their own personality.

Pre-school

Children in the 3-5 age range are helped to develop their motor skills in preparation for the next step - starting Primary School. Our qualified teacher encourages children to use colour and numeracy to learn about the seasons and to build up a basic knowledge base that will help them gain confidence for when they start school.

Partner provider

Little Monkeys is a 'Partner Provider' nursery in association with The City of Edinburgh Council. This ensures that your child receives the very best in Pre-school education in a closely audited programme following the 'Child at the Centre' 3-5 year old curriculum.
